What is Brow Henna?
Brow Henna coloring agents are derived from a Henna plant or Henna tree. The highest quality of Henna is derived when extracted from the leaves and flowers of the henna plant and offers far more superior skin stain or brow coloration. The formula used at Bowie Brows contains hydrolyzed proteins, vitamin complex and anti-oxidants which help to strengthen and restore hair growth by 60%. No ammonia, lead or peroxide and is Vegan and Cruelty free!
Am I a Good Candidate?
Perfect for people who have naturally sparse or over plucked brows, or are still recovering from a nightmare waxing experience! Cover those pesky grey and white brow hairs! Also great for filling in areas with light scarring where there may be missing hair.
How Long will the Treatment take?
Henna or Tint application & processing takes approximately 30-45 minutes, please add additional time if you require a full brow shaping. Brow Shaping can also be booked as a stand alone service.

Brow Henna and Tints are custom blended for each client and are suitable for all skin tones and hair colors.
Brow Henna vs. Tinting
Henna is unique in comparison to traditional tinting in that it acts like a blanket over the hair shaft, coating the top layers of the hair cuticle only, this helps to give the appearance of a thicker, softer and smoother eyebrow while also creating a staining effect on the skin for up to 14 days. Brow henna will create a beautiful powder-like finish on your brows.
Tinting uses an oxidant to deposit color within the hair shaft and will help to color hairs while leaving only a soft tint on the skin for 1-2 days, or up to 7 days with Hybrid tint.
If you are looking for a make-up like skin stain to fill in sparseness and/or correct your shape, choose Henna.
For subtle, classic hair coloring, including grey/white hair coverage with a minimal to non-existent skin stain, choose Tint.
Henna & Tint Aftercare
Your new brow tint, henna brows and/or freckles may appear very dark in color the day of and day following your treatment. They will soften!

When cleansing your face, wipe around your brows to ensure the longest lasting skin stain. Be sure to gently pat dry.

Be mindful of salt water & chlorine, as they will prematurely fade your brows.

Avoid scrubbing your brows with exfoliates.

Avoid applying any resurfacing serums, acids (salicylic, glycolic, lactic, etc.), oils, make-up removers and peels over your brow area.

Do not apply any self-tanners on the brow area after your treatment.
