microblading & ombré brows

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure that creates natural looking hair-like strokes with the use of a manual tool.  Pigment is implanted into the epidermal layer of the skin enhancing or correcting the shape, fullness and definition of your natural eyebrow.

What is Ombré Powder/Shading?

Ombré shading is a semi-permanent eyebrow “tattooing” technique that uses a small machine to place extremely thin dots of pigment into the skin, creating a soft-shaded & powdery look.  Concentration of dots vary from front to tail, creating a light to dark gradient effect

Ombré Powder/Shading vs. Microblading:

The biggest difference between the two semi-permanent eyebrow techniques is how the pigment is deposited into the skin.  Microblading uses a handheld tool to place small cuts into the skin, whereas Ombré brows are done using a machine. The Ombré Powder technique is a bit less invasive than that of microblading.

Ombré is a good option for all skin types however, it is the ideal option for oily or sensitive skin because it will not blur or fade as easily as Microblading. Ombré is also the best option for correction work and/or cover ups.  Microblading is best suited for clients with normal to drier skin types & clients with less skin sensitivity.

Do the Microblading or Ombré Powder Procedures Hurt?

A topical anesthetic cream and gel are used for numbing before and during your procedure. Pain levels vary from person to person and every effort is made to ensure that you remain comfortable during your procedure.

How Long Will My Results Last?

Results will vary by individual and can last from 1-2 years. Various factors can determine how well the pigment will retain, including the color of the pigment used (lighter colors fade faster), skin type, pre and aftercare, skin care regimen (and/or use of exfoliators), sun exposure and medical history.

*The final results cannot be guaranteed as each unique skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates. You may book a touch up session 6-8 weeks after the initial appointment to fill in any areas that have faded after the healing process.

What should I expect during my Procedure?

On the day of your procedure, your initial appointment will typically last three hours & follow the below:

Consult:  (15 mins)

Open dialogue between you & your artist to obtain information about your desired result including color, shape, thickness & boldness of your brow.  You may ask any questions you may have and address any concerns.

Brow Mapping:  (up to 1 hour)

Your artist will measure and begin drawing an outline, or "map" of your desired brow shape with a wax pencil.  The client will be able to see and approve the shape before the procedure begins.

Color Swatch: (5 mins)

Your color will be mixed and a swatch will be applied on your skin to show you the shade currently, and as healing occurs.

Numbing Cream Application:  (20 mins)

Numbing cream will be applied to the brow area and covered with plastic wrap in order to prep the area for a comfortable and painless experience.

Procedure:  (80 mins)

Your artist will begin creating your eyebrows!

How Do I Maintain my Eyebrows After the Procedure?

For best results, a secondary touch-up session is recommended 6-8 weeks following the initial procedure to ensure your skin has retained all pigment and to perfect the shape by inserting any additional pigment and/or details.

Future touch-up appointments are recommended once a year to

maintain pigment and shape.
